"When I first came back to Germany after 20 years in the UK, I found the bureaucracy and systems incredibly difficult. I may be German, but I felt like an outsider.

I saw the same struggle in my father's friends, all international workers, who didn't know how to navigate the system. I realized how unhelpful we Germans can be and decided to build something to fix that.

For eight years, MW Expat has helped over 3,000 clients find their footing in Germany. We did it by building a team that's mostly international itself – people who share your experience, not just speak your language.

But the world is changing. It's more digital. You expect answers now, not next week. The 'old way' of doing things, while good, isn't efficient for the future.

Last November, it hit me: our name didn't match our future vision. We aren't just 'MW'. We are a multicultural team of 34 people with a dream to build a truly European company.
